Come over and listen to the incessant rambling of this silly tiger :)
I'm an artist, and an opera singer, and on the side I have an interest in Renaissance music and medieval music, languages, writing, and the creation of satire.
Some of my favorite authors are Laura Restrepo, Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Peter S. Beagle, Jose Saramago, Italo Calvino, Margherite Duras, Antoine de Saint-Exupery, Voltaire, Gustave Flaubert, George Sand, Colette, Marie Ndiaye, Mariama Bâ and Terry Pratchett.
My favorite opera singers? Alfredo Kraus, Placido Domingo, Fritz Wunderlich, Cecilia Bartoli, Vivica Genaux, Ewa Podlesh and the incomparable Dietrich Fischer-Dieskau
My favorite classical musicians? Yoyo-Ma (Cellist), Richter (Pianist), Rostropovich (Cellist), Glenn Gould (Pianist), Marion Verbruggen (Recorderist), Piffaro (Renaissance group), Opera Galante, Midori (violinist), Wynton Marsalis (trumpetist).
My favorite non-classical singers? I am a furry. Indeed, so? simply because I am one it does not mean I engage in the tremendously bizarre (and absolutely comical) things you may have seen in the hilarious CSI episode, or other television specials--- there are freaks and weirdos everywhere, folks, and they're in all fandoms, religions, political associations and... well, you get the point.
Am I really an opera singer? Yep. I'm a tenor, and I'm still struggling with the "Young Tenor Syndrome". For those of you that aren't very familiar with opera... it simply means the transition from a youthful voice to a more , shall we say, solid one. Or, as some sopranos put it, "The moment your voice sprouts balls". Thank you, Kathleen Battle, for that joyfully disturbing mental image.

So, what languages do I speak? Fluently?

Proficiently? Italian, and Not-too-fluent-but-enough-to-understand? German. Sorry guys, it's just not a language that is a saint of my devotions.
What do you believe in?
-I do not ascribe myself to any political party, I do not believe in them.
-I believe that we should secure our right to the pursuit of happiness free from any imposition of religious morality.
-I believe that no religion has the right to be in the seat of power, as religions have proven their mettle of power in the past and history speaks for itself.
-I believe that couples of same or mixed genders should have the right to be happy and pursuit their civil and legal liberties without the religious interest groups trying to disrupt the separation of church and state by claiming those legal values as theirs.
-I believe that a person's relationship with his or her god is his or her damned own business and that they shouldn't force other people outside of their churches to bow down to a god they don't believe in.
- I agreed wholeheartedly with Gandhi when he said "Oh, I don't reject your Christ. I love your Christ. It's just that so many of you Christians are so unlike your Christ."
-I believe everyone has the right to religious freedom, but in the matters of State religion cannot play a role as any judgement of value based not on logic and objectivism but on subjectivism and religious fervor is not balanced, as religions are exclusivists and prone to proselytize, and therefore make impartial judgement impossible. I believe this just as much as that an important figure should not make judgements based on political, sexual, social or similar affiliations.
- I abhorr the idea, like Einstein did, of a system of government that is based on the religious aspect of performing good to expect a heavenly reward instead of out of social concern for its fellow man.
-I believe that if there are to be religious symbols imposed upon certain buildings of state, then that all religions be honored- or none.
-That capitalism can be a working system if handled intelligently and not with greed but with a vision and with common sense.
-That it's not a flag you should be proud of, but what the flag stands -for-, and that you should learn to tell the difference.
-I believe that athletes are grossly overpaid and that musicians, artists and teachers are grossly underpaid.
-I believe that Windows 95 was the universe's way of proving that your computer can make you its bitch.
-I believe that telling the difference between your and you're, its and it's, site and sight, loose and lose (and so on and so forth) is vitally important, and that you shouldn't be surprised if your resume gets returned faster than a boomerang if you don't bother to speak your own language properly.
-I believe that worshipping Music is more harmless than any religion, and produces more benefices to the world.
-I believe that if you can't be bothered to fight for your rights, that you have no justification to qualify people that do of overreacting, because -most likely- it is because of people like that that you nowadays enjoy many of the freedoms you take for granted, and in the future many people will enjoy many more rights and freedoms thanks to the people you ridicule today.
-I believe Anya may have been onto something concerning those bunnies...
-I believe that the mind should not be wasted, that intellect should be cultivated, curiosity should be active and thriving, and that there is never such thing as "too much to read"
